Quality Health New Zealand
... is this country’s leading Standards and Performance Assessment Agency for Health and Disability Services. We have been providing assessment and quality improvement services in the health sector since 1990, surveying public hospitals and health services, private surgical hospitals and clinics, continuing care hospitals and rest homes, hospices, mental health services, disability support services, and Maori and community health services.
Why Use Quality Health New Zealand?
… because we create confidence for staff, for the people using health services and for those responsible for funding the services. Quality Health has developed a very high level of expertise in health service accreditation, performance assessment and quality improvement. Established in 1990 under the auspices of the then Minister of Health, Helen Clark, Quality Health has the respect and confidence of health professionals throughout the country.
Critical to our success has been the use of health professionals and managers as surveyors and auditors in our standards auditing and assessment processes. This approach recognises the importance of peer assessment and the respect and confidence it commands among those in the health and disability sector. It has enabled Quality Health to deliver support and education in a developmental framework as well as independent assessment of standards achievement.
